Create Your Own Graphic Novel

by Mike Chinn & Chris McLoughlin

Graphic novels, which evolved from the universally popular comic book, have become one of the fastest–growing areas of publishing. Their full–colour illustrations add another element to the complex, action–packed storylines and have introduced a new audience to the full–length narrative genre.

The traditional methods used to create these works are now being superseded by digital techniques. Graphic artists are using computers to ink in their designs and create the lettering. But more fundamental changes are afoot. As technology changes, so does the means of publishing and distribution, and graphic novels now appear on the Web as well as the printed page.
